This Sparrow Colony Premium Nest Box is basically three next boxes all in one, making it attractive to sparrows who are social nesters. These gregarious birds like to nest close together, so by using this little ‘terrace’ of next boxes you’re provided them with the prefect nesting spot.

Manufactured from 19mm FSC certified timber throughout – FSC means the timber made to use this nest box came from responsibly managed forests.
For easy cleaning this next box has a hinged roof. At the end of the nesting season you’ll be able to clean out the nest box without having to take it down.
Many wild birds will have more than one brood, so after you see the birds leave the nest don’t rush to clean out the box. The parent birds may then return and have another brood. So simply remove any dead nestlings and leave everything else in place. You’re best to wait three to four weeks after the birds have left the box before cleaning it out.
This means you’re likely to be cleaning out next boxes in Autumn time. Simply remove any nesting material, eggs and dead birds. To ensure the nest box is clean of any infectious or parasitic organisms simply wash out with boiling water.
You also may be lucky enough that your sparrows return to use their nesting box as a winter roost too.
