A calcium carbonate bathing sand suitable for chinchillas and gerbils which is not too hard and not too soft. Natural and dust free, the smooth grain helps to absorb moisture and excess oil in the fur to keep in tip top condition. Chinchillas should get dust baths lasting about 5 to 10 minutes - longer tends to dry out the chinchillas skin] at least three times per week. The dust in a chinchilla's dust bath should be cleaned regularly, and replaced about every two to three weeks.
