It is useful to remember that a pet rabbit has a very delicate digestive system that can be easily upset by eating the wrong kind of things, thus leading to diarrhoea and general sickness. In their natural environment, rabbits evolved in areas with lots of low quality vegetation. This meant that they had to spend time eating and have a digestive system that extracts maximum goodness out of the food they eat.
