Puppies that will weigh 10 kg or less when fully grown use a lot of energy as they grow and tend to have faster metabolisms. The optimal protein to fat ratio in this formula has the extra protein and fat (32% protein, 21% fat) to burn as energy while still growing strong, lean and healthy.
Pro Plan Puppy Small Breed helps control the percentage of body fat for a lean, healthy puppy. It is formulated as balanced nutrition to help support a strong immune system. It is also fortified with vitamins, calcium & other minerals for strong bones & teeth.
For puppies less than 3 months of age, divide the recommended daily amount of Pro Plan Puppy into 3-4 meals moistened. After 3 months of age, gradually reduce moistening. The recommended daily amounts should be adjusted according to weather conditions, the animal's level of activity and its physical condition.
Making the Switch to Pro Plan
When switching your dog to Pro Plan from another dog food, please allow seven to ten days for the transition. Each day, feed more Pro Plan and less of the previous food, until you're feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid gastrointestinal upsets.
Recommended for Growth
This product is for growth of small breed puppies - not for reproducing or lactating females. If you have a pregnant or nursing female, we recommend Pro Plan Adult Performance, Chicken & Rice Puppy or Lamb & Rice Puppy.
Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container for your dog daily.
