Horses fed Respirator have significantly higher anti-oxidant capacity in their blood. It is well recognised that poor aeration, dust, fungal spores, dry weather and poor quality forage and bedding can have a detrimental effect on the horse's respiratory system. Pulmonary distress caused by these inadequate environmental and nutritional conditions can have far reaching consequences. Poor breathing leads to poor oxygen absorption and utilisation, affecting performance and the immune system. Research has been carried out to test the theory that horses housed in conventional stable environments are exposed to high dust levels which, may, in time, lead to subclinical airway disease. It was found that although these horses had no obvious symptoms, clinical examination identified Inflammatory Airway Disease. It can only be assumed that this would have a negative effect on performance horses where maximum lung function is required. Previous trials have demonstrated the benefit of antioxidant supplementation for lung function. The natural ingredients in Respirator have been specially selected for their high concentration of orthoprocyanadins a particularly potent form of antioxidant. Our veterinary scientists and nutritionists have combined specially selected ingredients, including Vitamin C, Nacetyl cysteine and L-glutamine, to produce a concentrated pure supplement with no unnecessary fillers. Respirator is scientifically verified for antioxidant content, and modern analytical techniques have demonstrated that horses fed Respirator have significantly higher antioxidant capacity in their blood, compared to horses not fed the supplement. Instructions
Mix with damp feed. Horses: initially feed 2 scoops per day for 2 weeks, then reduce to 1 scoop per day. Long TermSupplementation: 1 scoop per day. The feeding level may be increased to 2 scoops per day as necessary, e.g. during seasonal times, before a competition / race etc. For small ponies it may be possible to reduce the instructions by half.
