Mountain Horse’s head offices are located just south of Gothenburg .The Company was started in 1988 by Lars Sjosvard. His background was in footwear and he was involved in the production of the sports trainer.
Lars couldn’t understand why riding boots were not specifically designed to be supportive and adequately cushioned and have other features which were relevant to riding. This influenced him to design and make his own. The first boot he made was the Mountain Horse Winter Rider.
