Senior Energy - Dengie 'Senior' is a medium energy Fibremix (11.5 MJ/kg, estimated DE, 'as fed'), especially designed for older but active horses, or those needing condition. It provides optimum levels of quality protein in the form of micronized soya and alfalfa, along with calcium and phosphorus and other vitamins and chelated minerals. Easily Digested - The level of cereal in Dengie 'Senior' is lower than most veteran mixes and, for ease of digestion, they are micronized (cooked). 'Senior' also has a high inclusion of chopped alfalfa, which encourages chewing and extends eating time, helping to maintain normal digestion. 'Slow Release Energy' - Dengie 'Senior' provides mainly 'slow release' energy from digestible fibre and oil with less reliance on energy from cereal starch making it ideal for older horses and ponies in work or to provide condition without over-exuberance. With XP Triple Action - The inclusion of Dengie's digestive aid XP Triple Action provides XP Yeast, Equiflora probiotic and a pre-biotic. XP Triple Action helps to maintain a normal balance of microflora in the hindgut, reducing the likelihood of digestive disturbances and can improve feed utilisation by up to 10%. High Oil - The inclusion of traditional cooked linseed and added soya oil gives 'Senior' a higher than average oil content and provides a balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids essential for healthy skin and show ring coat condition.
