All Burns Complete Foods are free of Wheat, Soya, Beef and Dairy products. Chicken meat is sourced from non-battery hens and fishmeal is ocean fish (not farmed). Lamb and venison used comes from New Zealand and is from grassland reared animals, and our new duck food uses free range duck meat sourced from the UK.
As a practising vet John Burns was such that poor diet was the main cause of many canine health problems. In the 1980s John recommended a homemade diet based on chicken and brown rice. Since then he has developed his own range of Burns Real Food using similar ingredients to his home made recipe. It worked then, and 20 years on it is still the natural healthy choice for dogs and cats.
