All Burns Complete Foods are free of Wheat, Soya, Beef and Dairy products. Chicken meat is sourced from non-battery hens and fishmeal is ocean fish (not farmed). As a practising vet John Burns was such that poor diet was the main cause of many canine health problems. In the 1980s John recommended a homemade diet based on chicken and brown rice. Since then he has developed his own range of Burns Real Food using similar ingredients to his home made recipe.
