Racing Light is a low energy coarse mix formulated for racehorses of all ages at rest, on the Ùeasy listÎ or in early fitness work. It has been formulated to support continued growth and development in the young horse whilst also providing essential nutrition for the more mature athlete, who needs to replace body stores and maintain muscle tone and function and overall condition when not in full training. Free from whole oats, the blend of cereals is micronised to ensure maximum digestibility of the starch content and thus help minimise the chance of digestive upsets or excitable behaviour. Racing Light provides quality protein, including essential amino acids lysine and methionine, for muscle and tissue development and repair, whilst a combination of fibre sources provide highly digestible fibre for slow release energy and healthy gut function. To help further promote gut health, the mix contains Digest Plus prebiotic, which acts as a food source for beneficial gut bacteria, and Yea Sacc1026 yeast culture which stimulates fibre digesting species. The broad spectrum of vitamins and minerals, including chelated (Bioplexÿ) minerals helps support tissue repair and boosts the immune system and overall health of the horse. Baileys Horse Feeds remains a family owned and run operation. The company was founded in 1982. Another vital aspect of the Baileys team is that all of the staff are horse men and women. This means that they take huge pride in their work. They have a good understanding of all the aspects involved when feeding a horse, the difficulties horse owners face and possible solutions.
Baileys are always at the cutting edge if equine nutrition. Their nutrition team, which is led by Liz Bulbrook BSc (Hons), constantly review the recent scientific research into equine nutrition, and apply relevant developments to their product range.
