Although it was traditionally thought that wild bird feed should be fed during the winter months only, it is now known to be beneficial feeding bird’s all-year round.This ensures that birds get the best chance of surviving periods of food shortage whenever they may occur. These are many different wild bird foods out there, choosing a particular food/mix influences the type and quantity of birds you attract to your garden. Wild bird mixtures containing large pieces or nuts are best suited towards feeding during the winter months.We also offer a feeder seed mixture. This wild bird feed contains white and red millet, linseed, black rape and red Dari. This mix contains no cereals at all. This means it will primarily attract smaller birds into your garden. This includes sparrows, finches, collared doves & reed buntings. Our range wild bird food includes various types of peanuts, peanut granules and sunflower seed, sunflower hearts. These products are great for attracting various Tits and greenfinches, siskins and sparrows to your garden. In terms of wild bird seeds, our most popular products are Nyger seed along with groats and pinhead oatmeal. Nyger seed especially has a very high oil content. Nyger seed is quite expensive, but it is really great at attracting goldfinches to your garden.
